Pen pal for DD for Christmas?

7 yr old (8 in Feb)DD really really wants a pen pal and has decided santa will bring her one. Online penpal sites look a wee bit suspect. DD loves reading (big fan of Jeremy Strong), jokes and drawing and is based in Essex. Not likely to write long letters but is v excited at the idea of writing and receiving. Does anyone out there have a 7 or 8 yr old DD that might want a penpal?

Would she consider (whispers and looks worried) a boy??!! My 7 year old DS would love something like this - we live in France, and he could write to her some bits in French if she would like that? And I would love him to practice his written English and reading! And my SIL lives in Hornchurch with her 2 girls and we're there quite often just in case they got on really well!! Anyway, CAT me if interested

jenpet - sorry to but in, but my 12 yr old would love a french pen pal!! She has mild SEN, so is a young 12, but french is her favourite subject - as she likes the repetitive nature of learning
