having to delay christmas day

My husband is working both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day night. He's working until 8am Christmas morning and is back in at 6.30pm the same night, so we have come to the conclusion that we will have Christmas day on the following day. The idea is that we hold back some presents for the children and then eat dinner together. I'm just stuck for ideas as to what to eat on Christmas Day with the children, any suggestions for me?

We had xmas day 2 days early a couplle of years ago, I had surgery on xmas eve so had it on the 23rd, was fab, evryone came to see us and we had a great day. How old are the children, mine were 4 and 18months at the time so didn't really know.

Eldest is 14 and youngest 8, the idea of a cold buffet really appeals to me as the kids can pick all through the day without having to mess about

we're having christmas meal etc on boxing day so I don't have to cook 2 big meals on 2 days.

So xmas day we're having a selection of party food/buffet stuff from tesco. It seemed easier and we can snack and play games/watch tv etc at the same time if we wanted to.
