DD's special request to Father Christmas

DD (8) has written her Christmas list to FC, She's asked that he replies to her letter with a handwritten letter and a hoofprint from one of the reindeer! Is it possible to buy reindeer hoofprint stamps?!

Try potato prints. Good luck.

Tikkabillajive · 07/12/2009 13:49

That's lovely! Do you think she is trying to catch him out? I'd have thought potato prints would do the trick too - and a liberal sprinkling of elf dust!

vonnyh · 07/12/2009 13:49

What are potato prints?

Potato prints.....cut a large potato in half and make a hoofy shape to use.

Tikkabillajive · 07/12/2009 13:54

Just googled quickly and found these instructions.

paisleyleaf · 07/12/2009 13:55

Google to see what deer hoof prints look like.

TeenageWildlife · 07/12/2009 13:58

I had all this with DD and the tooth fairy back in the day. She would leave notes for her at all sorts of times - not tooth related, and wanted a photograph of her. It starts with a hoof print, but slippery slope and all that...

NorbertDentressangle · 07/12/2009 14:01

Teenagewildlife -thats along the lines of what I was about to type.

We also started with the toothfairy....thin end of the wedge blah blah blah.....

edam · 07/12/2009 14:07

Potato print makes sense but what on earth are you going to do about the handwriting? Anyone you can rope in?

Doyouthinktheysaurus · 07/12/2009 14:18

Oh that's really sweet

DS2 (5) wouldn't show me his christmas list and told me it was only for Father Christmas to see. I suspect he is testing the theory too

vonnyh · 07/12/2009 15:04

I think I'll be able to forge FC's handwriting, after all , she's never seen it! Those instructions look good, thanks, She's definitely testing the the "legend" of FC, she told me a boy in her class told her last week that FC isn't real........ thanks for all the replies!

For the "handwritten" toothfairy letters I just used a typeface on the pc and printed it off incredibly small.

DD was so amazed at the teeny, tiny letter that she didn't notice it was done on the computer
