For a currently 3 1/2 year old.

Looking for something for her to "collect" and play. Which has most longevity? I am thinking animal hospital?

Animal hospital better I think.

My DD and all her friends (8 year olds) all love Littlest Pet Shop.

1 vote for 1, 1 for another I think.

What can you do with littlest pet shop? They just look like figures to me. Can you "play" with them to?

They are figures but they also have houses and things. DD just plays games a lot of the time with the houses and figures all arranged across the floor of her bedroom. Not quite sure what she is doing exactly though!

DD is 3.5 and she loves littlest pet shop the best, puppy in my pocket next and animal hospital last. I think the littlest pet shop are the best value for money in terms of quality myself. The puppy in pockets are tat TBH and the animal hospital is abit plain.

The littlest pet shop house is on offer for £17 at Argos at the moment, Sainsburys have 33% off figures and Toymaster (if you have one) are buy one get one free. Actually you can often find them buy one get one free, and as they cost £2-£2.50 a figure they can be really good for little treats too. (DD got her selection of animals as rewards for staying in bed rather than getting up at the crack of dawn).

my daughter loved puppy in my pocket she had the hotel which was just a glorified display case for them, but this was years ago.

dd who is 6 had animal hospital stuff last year and didnt really play with it ,but ds 3 does. dd is now into puppy in my pocket, she is getting the castle for christmas from my mum. It was about £17 on amazon and the entertainer.

Oh I don't know.

I like the look of the animal hospital but it sounds as though that is probably the worst choice...

Just wait till Polly Pocket..... But dd did play more with Littlest Pet Shop rather than the other 2. Her animal hospiotal vehicles are now used for Polly Pocket for when her cruise ship docks and she needs to go somewhere!

muggglewump · 05/12/2009 16:33

We've got loads of Littlest Pet Shop, and as well as the animals, have the vets bit, monkey bras thing, and the big, erm thing thing!
DD has played with it all loads, and still does. (she's 8, and got the first bit at around 4)
We have puppy in my pockets too, about 20 of them that I bought as and when as the local shop sell them but they're not as good, as they're smaller. They also bloody hurt when you stand on them.

I'd go for Littlest Pet Shop.

DippyDino · 05/12/2009 22:19

Another vote for Littlest Pet Shop here, and a 'runner-up' for Puppy in My Pocket - Dd (3.5) loves them both.
