DD (10) wants a telescope

I know nothing about these things. We have a maximum £80 to spend, will that get her something reasonable?

Can anyone suggest one? If its much less than £80 (I wish!) we'll get her one of her other prezzies on her wishlist...

No it doesn't, I haven't a clue what one would cost. The one you mentioned - 40x magnification doesn't seem very big, is that correct? Or am I reading it wrong?
