Am heading to London this weekend from Bonnie Scotland.

Are there any christamas mkts on ... or where should i aim not to miss. Looking for atmosphere and potter rather than a serious shop..

There is a traffic free day on Oxford Street starting 12pm saturday. Loads going on including a German Market near Marble Arch.

Winter wonderland in Hyde Park is fantastic-www.hydeparkwinterwonderland.com/

The one on the south bank is a bit rubbish, not much atmosphere.... but Spitalfields on a Sunday this time of year is always good and its very near to Columbia Rd Flower Market which just smells of Christmas in December and has a ton of atmosphere!

Go east!

Spitalfields and Brick Lane are worth a rummage, and much more atmospheric than Oxford st. IMO

Liverpool st. tube, then walk through Spitalfields into Brick Lane... Does get pretty busy though.

Or if you prefer antiques, go west...

Portobello market is a great day out, and plenty of vintage clothing too. I think it's only on Saturday; Notting hill tube.

ooh thanks, lots to sieve through!

Ney. For ever.

It has been completely destroyed- commercial, tacky, crowded and, well, shite.

It's a real shame, it used to be great, but I wouldn't advise it now.
