Is a Marble Run a good present for a 7yo boy?

Or is it a bit basic and would they get bored of it quickly? This particular 7yo is very into computer games and tv but I want to get him something a bit more creative and 'old school'. What do you think?

My 7 year old DS3 has well and truly outgrown his marble run. Much to my bitter disappointment.

You can't go wrong with Star Wars Lego and 7 year old boys IME.

Thank you. God, they grow up so fast nowadays, it's so sad. I'm sure my brothers and I would have loved and played with that sort of thing for a lot longer. The other thing I was thinking of was a domino run type thing, we had one with bridges and ramps and all sorts and I'm sure we were still playing with it at 10/11 ish, but I have a feeling it will be the same.

Agree with Hassled, my 7 year old would be very happy with star wars anything.
