where/how you plug them in. Do you have to leave a window open/drill a hole in the wall?

I think it's the outdoor netlights/icicle lights he likes.

We had a plug in the garage and ran a cable out of the window to nearby trees.

Mine has a thin enough lead that I can close the window on it.

Plug them in inside the garage and run the cable across the drive.

We have white icicles across the front porch and whie sparkly lights in the tree - all very tasteful

We run ours through front door and can still close lock it etc

bellavita · 02/12/2009 21:56

Run the extension cable out of the garage - underneath the up and over door. They are also on a timer, so don't have to keep going in and out of the garage to turn them on/off.

We have no garage. We live in a terraced street house. But if the wires are thin, we could just run it through our window and then close the window.

Thanks, will show him the thread when he has finished battling with dd2 over bedtime.

We have little blue led lights along the eaves & DH put an outside socket at the side of the house specifically for the lights each yr.

We are putting ours up this weekend & cant wait

jelliebelly · 03/12/2009 12:28

outside power socket

Bodenbabe · 03/12/2009 12:59

Outside power sockets are no good though because the transformer has to be indoors. We drilled a hole through the wooden frame of a little window we have by the front door.
