Sainsbury Christmas Slots Open

Just had an email from Sainsbury to say their Cristmas slots are now available.

I awoke at 12.05am to book mine, and got the earliest one on 22nd.( I feel this is a bit sad an excessive but I am inexplicably proud of my commitment to christmas organisation)

I can't afford to pay for xmas food shoppng yet, do they take out the money before?? Or can I just checkout a couple of things and then redo my order later??

You have to check out the order as soon as you place it but I don't think the money comes out til the order is delivered (some of the items are just approximates - eg if you order fruit & veg the weight might be slightly more/less than you order) so the correct prices are calculated when the delivery comes so you only pay then.

You can put just one item in basket & add to the basket up until the night before it's delivered but you have to check out every time you add to the basket.

Hope that makes sense - just a rushed message as about to tackle the shops!!

Thank you, that's what I though but had to check! It would be my luck to just end up with one jar of pickles for xmas dinner!!

Bleary eyed last night I chucked a few things into my (virtual)basket and cheked out.

I intend to do a proper list nearer the time. they don't take the mobey until the day of deivery.

Its only showing free slots up until Sunday 20th. Does this mean that all the slots for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday have already gone?
