Gupi Guinea Pigs - anyone bought one?

What's teh verdict? Are they any good? The Amazon reviews aren't great.

what are they? sound like cheap go go pets...

i dont know about the toys , but that video on the link scared the sh*t out off me, was too creepy - fake smiles on the kids , the gupi climbing up the kids bed ,,, uugh .

We have had a Gupi for 2 years.

Good points -
it does not poop
the children loved it for about a week
if you put it on a cloth then it reaches all the dusty nooks

Bad points
The real guinea pig got freaked out by it
I lost the control carrot which is crucial for it's existence.

Ha ha about the creepy video.

Hmm, am noting lack of enthusiam there GO. Am tempted by the cleaning application though.

Now it is good for cleaning laminate flooring. I tied J cloths to it's feet. All was going well until Control Carrot went awol.

Yes - a squeaking version.
It nearly gave a visitor the fear as I used to forget all about it and the Gupi shot across the kitchen floor squeaking.
The new version has updated 'realistic' fur.

Did it actually work ok when yu still had the carrot? Lots of very negative reviews of Amazon. I wondered if it'd just seize up like the Fur Real dog we had

It worked very well and through time you could 'train' it. The more you interacted, the more tricks or noises it would do. I thought it was quite sweet to be honest and was gutted when the carrot went missing.
