im in the same boat, i have 2 dds ! dd1 is 2 and dd2 is 1, so dd2 gets all of dd1s old toys and clothes
however i am getting her some building blocks from elc and some books
then a my 1st baby annabell doll and a few more small bits !!! and some clothes etc, she doesnt NEED anythin so its more of a habit im buying for her than a neccesity x

At that age the fun is in the unwrapping and the packaging! Why not buy a couple of puzzles/books, few bits of clothes and put some money in the bank?

Think about 18month + toys if her birthday's quite close to christmas there's a big gap before you can get things in the next age group.

My 15 month daughter is getting

A doll
I'm making bedding to go in her baby's cot.
Some wooden play food
A child wicker shopping basket
Iggle piggle..she is in love

I have a DS and she's not really into any of his toys. She spends all day patting, feeding and cuddling her dolls.

My DSs aged 3 and 11 are getting loads more but as another MN said when you're 15mo its all in the wrapping paper!

my DD is 16mths,

She is getting:
Fisher price Little people Ark

Peppa pig rucksack

Plus a stocking of small gifts/teddys

DD is 14 months and is getting -

Fairyland toys from ELC
Wooden blocks
Sparkly shoes (she is obsessed with shoes)
A pair of Converse
A silver dress (she loves dresses too)
A wooden shape sorter
New books
Socks (ooo exciting)
Puzzles

Sounds like a lot but it wasn't very expensive. We are going to spend less on her than on DS and then buy her some toys for the garden in the summer with the difference.

Well, my daughter will be 14 months old next week. Seeing as she has no idea what Christmas is all about she's not getting much from us (I'm sure our families will spoil her anyway).
She's getting a bean bag (as she loves sitting cuddling her dolls and "reading" books to them)and a few books maybe. I can't see us really getting her much else.
We have a DS and DD plays with most of his toys (those that he has now and his old baby toys).

oh dear just realised my dd is a bit neglected! she is little pet who is just happy to play with her brothers toys and doesnt really have any fav thing like peppa or night garden like ds did. guess we did read those books to him.

great idea re 18 month stuff as bday not to oct.

pigley - saw that little people stuff and thought the pink plane or bus may be good as she likes taking bits and pieces in and out. also the rucksack good for swimming bag and ds loves his.

will look at fairyland toys as they sound nice. not sure re doll as thought that would be next year. def could do with soft shoes to kepp feet warm.

thanks for all ideas!!
