handbagqueen · 29/11/2009 13:52

DD2 will be 2.5 and we have got her:

A toddler doll (its around 65cm tall!)
Clothes for the doll
A hobby horse
Maisy goes to Nursery book
Perhaps a few more books (she loves books)

From My sister:
A Kidproof camera

Grandparents usually just give money that goes into her savings.

She has an older sister so she has most toys for that age already.

Gle76 · 29/11/2009 13:55

Train set! Not very girly but she loves 'em!

Bonsoir · 29/11/2009 13:56

When DD was 2 she got a beautiful wooden farm and lots of Schleich animals. Still going strong as a toy 3 years later!

DaftApeth · 29/11/2009 13:57

Mini micro scooter

carrieNchild · 29/11/2009 15:53

Where can I get plastic brackets? My daughter would love them

ilovetochat · 29/11/2009 16:00

easel and paints/chalks/pens
peppa pig jigsaw

grandad getting her elc keyboard.
other grandparents getting a doll

dressing up outfit off friends

Ineedsomesleep · 29/11/2009 19:54

Bonsoir, thats a good idea. Had dismissed the idea of a farm as they all looked too flimsy. Did you get her a Schleich farm?

Rindercella · 29/11/2009 20:26

What is it about Peppa Pig? DD (2.3) absolutely loves it - she sits there laughing her head off whenever it's on. I feel I may have to get an extra Peppa Piig present to add to the loads of stuff she is already getting:

An easel/blackboard
Pens, paints, chalk, etc to go with above
VTech Bugsby Reading System + two stories
Several books
Recorder thingy
Hat, scarf & gloves
Pyjamas
A couple of tops

As well as Peppa Pig, her favourite things are books and painting, so hopefully she will love what she's getting.

Ineedsomesleep · 29/11/2009 20:31

DD is a Peppa Pig lover too. She had the house and camper van from her grandparents for her birthday and loves playing with them both.

girlsyearapart · 30/11/2009 07:31

Wilkinsons and Asda both have Peppa Pig stuff which is not too extortionate and Boots have the fuzzy felt in their gift offer 3 for 2.

Sexonlegs · 30/11/2009 07:54

DD (2.6) will be getting a new baby and set (pushchair, changing mat etc) as she has been using dd1's cast-offs which are now v tatty!

My parents have bought her a play kitchen (she loves this at toddler group)

Does your dd go to nursery? If so, maybe ask the staff what she seems to enjoy playing with most.

scottishmummyofone · 30/11/2009 10:26

MCDL · 30/11/2009 10:38

My dd 3.5. She is looking for bubble baby. Dont know what this is, have googled it but nothing. She has also mentioned a camera have seen some good kids stuff on the internet. A skipping rope was mentioned at the weekend.

She is extremely active and never stops. Any ideas ..

Gingerbics · 30/11/2009 10:46

What about a Mini microscooter if she hasn't already got one.

There is a baby born with magic bubbles on Amazon, maybe she means that one?

MCDL · 30/11/2009 10:52

Thanks so much for that I was on the wrong track altogether was thinking about a baby that goes in the bath ! this is exactly what she is looking for ...

Gingerbics · 30/11/2009 10:55

Brill, glad to have helped. its tricky when they come out with these random things. I remember when my DD wanted a pig tooth fairy...luckily I spotted a pepper Pig Fairy who would definately pass for a tooth fairy.

vesela · 30/11/2009 11:01

I'm not sure about DD - 2.7. She's pretty happy with the toys she has at the moment. I bought her a train set in October and she loves it.

I have a couple of books for her for Christmas and will buy a few more small things, but won't push the boat out. I could have waited until Christmas with the train set, but it just seemed right at the time. At this age it seems worth waiting until they seem ready for a new toy/you have a good idea of what they'd like, instead of going all out at Christmas/birthdays.

Bettymum · 30/11/2009 14:10

I have got DD (23 months at Christmas) a great second-hand Fisher Price garage on ebay with lots of cars and little people.
DH has bought her a bright pink balance bike, she will LOVE it! We are doing one Christmas at ILs and one at my parents so I thought two big presents would be nice. I've also got a nursery story/rhyme collection that I bought her last year but decided she was too young for it, so I'll give it to her this year.

claraquack · 30/11/2009 14:44

I looked at the thread title and thought that doesn't apply to me, dd(1) is too old - she has just turned 4...

Then I relaised that dd2 turns two in less than two weeks! Aaaargh, how did that happen, she is my baby?

Anyway glad to see Peppa Pig features so heavily in so many people's lists. Not sure what dd2's main item will be yet, it's hard as we have so much stuff for her passed down from dd1. But she is getting a balance bike for her birthday and I am toying with the idea of getting her a doll/buggy set for Christmas. She is also getting a LIttle Einsteins DVD and some books.

MrsBadger · 30/11/2009 14:50

am staggered by some of the lists on this thread

dd will be 2.4 and is getting a brio-type train set, a balance bike, a star projector and a dolls' pushchair (from us, each set of grandparents and an aunt respectively), also some bits - books, lego, finger puppets - in her stocking.

mommybunny · 30/11/2009 15:25

I'm not too worried about DD's presents this year - she loves pink, and fairies and princesses and Peppa Pig all that stuff, so pretty much anything I got her in that area would be well received. Plus we are getting a puppy early in December and DH and I want that to be the main present for her and her brother.

Ineedsomesleep · 30/11/2009 18:23

The only thing our DD has asked for is juice.
