Honey my baby pony - any good?

DD1's letter to Santa contains 2 things - Dora Suds and Surprise which she is frankly not having because there would be carnage with DD2 at bathtime (!), and I love ponies Honey my baby pony. Anyone got this? Is it any good? I am generally deeply sceptical about interractive / battery operated toys and think they just break, but then I should really get her one of the things on her list shouldn't I?!?

DD1,who is now 6,had this for Christmas last year and has played with it a lot and it is still on the original batteries.I had misgivings about it,but she had been asking for that really big expensive Butterscotch pony and I'd sooner buy a real pony than that.Anyway,I didn't think it had much play value, but she loves it still, and takes it to bed most nights.

Have bought honey my baby pony for dd 8 as its the only thing she's asked FC for. I had it out of the box yesterday to play with it and was not impressed I think it will break very quickly and the motor inside is noisy. I would not have bought this by choice but she is obsessed with ponies and got Butterscotch fur real pony 3 christmas ago and still plays with her.
I am already dreading the thought of the thing being up at the table with us on Christmas day, but yes it does look like you'll have to buy it £39.99 in Argos.

Thanks both.

Looks like I will be getting it I think. Not because I think it's the best thing, but because it's what she wants I suppose . . . [dilemma emoticon]

There isn't another option of a soft cuddly pony which doesn't need batteries or interract is there?!?
