I would add to the list they play oven that really cooks.

It"cooks" using a lightbulb so takes approx. 1 hour to cook one tiny fairy cake and then it takes about another hour before the thing cools down enough (Health and Safety!!) to allow you to open the door to get it out.

By which time the child (and you) have lost the will to live.

Fortunately we didn't buy it brand new, MIL bought it from a charity stall at a fete IIRC. It soon disappeared to another charitable cause.

In fact its probably been passed on so many times after one use that I expect its earned a fortune for various charities!
