I can't even remember what the book was about or what it was called just that it would be perfect for my BIL.

It was a compendium/almanac type of book I think and was around a fiver...maybe along the lines of this but not really.

It was possibly something to do with people that know everything.

Jeez, do I win the price for the most difficult search of the day?

No problem

HappyMummyOfOne · 27/11/2009 14:39

Was it the bad science one?

DaftApeth · 27/11/2009 15:24

One of these?

suwoo · 27/11/2009 16:44

Not a miscellany one, nor bad science but they look like great possibilities as he is a scientist.

Can you remember anyone who posted on it? Presume you didn't post on it?

suwoo · 27/11/2009 21:38

Nope I didn't post on it or remember anyone else who did.

I am sure the OP was asking for stocking fillers for friends for around a fiver.

Will search again..........

Sorry daftapeth, I haven't said thanks yet. Are you from Lancashire or Yorkshire?

OP posts:
DaftApeth · 27/11/2009 22:25

London!

suwoo · 27/11/2009 22:31

Do they say Daft Apeth in London then these days? .

Or are you being ironic?

OP posts:
DaftApeth · 27/11/2009 22:39

My family have always used it.

We have distant rellies in Wigan but don't know if it was from them.

Ds has started calling dd a daft apeth recently!

Have had a few name changes recently but might stick with this. I tend to stick with the ones I like for quite a while.

Off to bed. Would love to know what that bloody book is

suwoo · 27/11/2009 22:48

You're telling me!!!

I am fairly near to Wigan in North Manchester, but not met anyone who actually says daftapeth in RL . Its like one of those lancashireisms that they would use on Coronation St. Do I know you in your previous incarnations?

Also bananas have very cheap books. Think they are part of The Book People.

Good luck with your search.
