if making edible gifts where/how are you storing them?

i am going to attempt to make fudge, biscuits, cookies etc, but how far in advance can they be made before going off, and where can they be stored? freezer??

the biscuits I make I tend to make the mixture and freeze it and then defrost what I need and either slice it or cut it out. Doesn't take quite as long and less washing up like this.

I don't know about fudge though, sorry.

I make my fudge two days before I need to give it. its stored in the fridge, then cut and bagged 24hrs before and put back into fridge. My favourite recipe has cream in so tend to write on label - store in fridge and eat within 3 days. Recipes I've used with condensed milk and chocolate last a lot longer but tend to still make a couple of days before I need so the receiver gets to enjoy it.

gingerbread lasts well and improves (imho) with age.

Biscuits and sweets (fudge, brittle etc) tend to need to be eaten within a week at most, so make about 2 days before and keep in an airtight box in a cool place until gifting. Freezing the dough is a fab idea, that way you only have to spend 30mins on the rolling/ baking for each batch.

If you have the containers/ boxes ready to go it should be a simple assembly job on the 23rd. Get an assembly line going.

I'm mostly doing pickles this year, with a few things from Nigella again. Last year was Puddini bon bons, this year I'm doing the salt, sugar and pomegranate vodka...
