It's just starting to dawn on me that catering might be a problem, even if we order something from Waitrose Entertaining. On the other hand, it could be a fun challenge?

We have an oven - but the thermostat seems to have gone so it is either extremely hot or off. I am not planning to do turkey in it - I have borrowed a slow cooker from my neighbour and I will do duck in that, and perhaps trust the oven with some roast potatoes, and do everything else on the hob. Do you have a hob? or a microwave?

We had to buy a new oven as 3 xmas' in a row the oven broke down and I couldn't take anymore.

We did have a microwave so could roast small joints in that. A friend roasted our turkey for us for 2 of the years which was fab as she got tense about the cooking of it and I just waited for it to turn up.
