Help me not make the same mistakes again what to get a 10 month old

DS plays with all of DD's old toys but is bored by most of the baby ones. I remember that DD really didn't ever play with most of the toys we got when she turned one. He just chews everything at the moment but loves playing with the plastic garage.

Maybe some wooden toys.

Feel like a balloon and some wrapping paper would keep him amused on the day!

Any suggestions really at a loss. DD will get a big pile of toys don't really want her to see DS getting practically nothing.

DS got given this when he was about 11 months old. Is now 2.2 yrs old and he still loves it!

this is also the same - a total winner.

finally - this has lived in DS's cot since it was bought and he still loves it!

meant to say that DS was given quite a few wooden presents, but it was the plastic musical toys that got a lot more play up until now. The below toy was the most played with wooden one.

mistletoekisses is spot on with Fisher price little people toys at that age. ds was 10mths when we got him the Fisher price little people ark and he played with for ages, playing with and pairing up the animals, needs to be simple at that age.

Leap frog table from tesco was also a winner here

Fisher price little people are great, dd1 (5.7) still plays with them.

What about a ride on toy, a small wheely bug or similar?

Thanks - just realised looking round the room that the wooden toys look great, but have hardly been played with. Will look at the Fisher Price Little toys range although he has inherited my DD's farm and he is bored of it already, oh hum
