Painting canvases as gifts

I've got 8 big square art canvases to give as gifts once painted by dd (18mo) We did one for my sister's birthday & she adores it. However I'm stuck for what to paint on them. Have done one A bright background and with contrasting hand prints but maybe a bit boring?

How about animal shapes using hands? For example, the hand patterns could be the tail feathers of a peacock - you could paint the fingers different colours?

That is a good idea. I may need to put my artistic hat on and do a trial run. Thank you.

Or good old-fashioned potato shapes, where you carve shapes into potatoes and dip them in the paint and use them as stamps?
