Guitar for 6yr old dd?

My 6 yr old dd really wants a guitar. We took her to the music shop but she needs to grow a little bit before she can have a half size and start to learn properly....so for Xmas wondering about getting her an electric/toy type guitar as a starter. I've seen a few - elc do one,John Lewis, there is a Hannah Montana one...but some look a bit rubbish. Wondered if anyone had experience and could recommend a good one that would be played with a lot please??? Thank you!

They have some lovely ones in my local co-op. Proper half size ones in pink. Think they were about £50.

Dd1 has a real 1/2 sized guitar that her grandad gave her, i think it came from woolworths originally, its still a little too big for her (she's 5) but she still enjoys playing with it, she won't have lessons until she has grown a little.

Argos do a very good cheap kids guitar that is fine to play with and then learn on. No point spending out a fortune until you know they are going to be keep being interested!
