Does anyone know the name of the spitting dinosaur and where I can get one?

Advert on C5 a few mornings ago and haven't seen it since, we have C5 on at hair brushing time.

DD2 has fallen in love with this dinosaur, that when you touch it, it's collar springs up and it spits water at you. Cannot remember the name of it, think it was in Jurassic Park too [grin}.

It was about £37, have looked in all the usual places for it, think it must be called something else than "dinosaur" as that search does not find it.

Thanks in advance

The dinosaur in Jurassic Park was a Dilophosaurus, if that helps.

ProfessorLaytonIsMyLoveSlave · 11/11/2009 12:16

Is this the one you want? Will need to look for UK site, though.

ProfessorLaytonIsMyLoveSlave · 11/11/2009 12:17

Here you are, play.com, free delivery

sweetkitty · 11/11/2009 12:19

Brilliant, that is the one, DD2 who is 3 has just confirmed it.

She's a strange little girl

thanks

is it this?

iheartdusty · 11/11/2009 12:21

doh, too slow!

sweetkitty · 11/11/2009 12:32

I looked on Amazon but not knowing the name just searched for "dinosaur"

I have one DD who wants a Dancing Dora then DD2 who wants a spitting scary dinosaur no doubt to terrorise her sister with. She doesn't play with dolls at all. Train sets, cars and dinosaurs.

Argh this has turned into the bane of my life, why oh why did I not just buy it the day of this thread? Oh no I thought I would wait.

So it's sold out everywhere apart from amazon where it is £94.99 and play.com where it is £89.99 usual RRP is £34.99

BIN on ebay are about £55 but even so.

It's DD2's most wanted thing now, the thing she has asked Santa for already so I NEED to get one.

I thought the Go go pets were bad!

Register with John Lewis and Argos now for an email to tell you when they have more in.

I think they are unlikely to change their prices if they get more in.

As a last resort, make up a card for dd2 saying Santa couldn't deliver her dinosaur yet because he had too much to carry but she will get one after he has had a rest. Start planting the idea now that he has such a lot to carry and ''you know you don't always get everything you want from him''.

Do you know anyone in USA? They might have some there!

DaftApeth · 01/12/2009 13:53

It's available in the States here

sweetkitty · 01/12/2009 15:26

Thanks have registered with every online site I can.

Don't know anyone the in the US that would ship one to me.

Plan is to give it a week then I will have to get an ebay one, it would break her heart not to have one on Christmas morning, it's all she talks about.

My parents are in States at the moment.

Have asked them to look out for one but depends on how big it is as to whether they can fit it in or not to bring back, so don't hold your breath!

They are not back until 16/17th Dec though. Do you want to CAT me your email address, just in case they find one and I'll get a postal address from you?

Are you anywhere near the south coast?

Daftapeth - how kind of you but don't worry I reckon it's quite a big package and I don't want them going to any trouble looking for it etc I am sure I will be able to get one. Wish we were on the South Coast, freezing in Scotland just now.

She saw the advert on the TV and has fallen in love with it.

Ok. But shout if you change your mind.

Hopefully, they'll come back in stock soon somewhere that has them priced sensably.

sweetkitty · 01/12/2009 17:01

Thanks

I noticed that on argos on-line they said they were all sold out for home delivery but noticed some London branches had some stock. I went into Argos yesterday to ask if they could get it for me from another store (they can't) but on their computer system it said it was available for home delivery and I now have bought one which is due for delivery tomorrow (on-line it still says no stock)!

So, in a nutshell, it is worth popping into your local Argos to check what their computers say!

Good luck.

moonshine · 01/12/2009 17:38

Oh and it is at the normal price of £34.99

sweetkitty · 01/12/2009 18:58

Thanks moonshine will try that
