Fox in Socks by Dr Seuss (all the Dr Seuss books are great)

Anything by Nick Sharratt particularly I went to the Zoopermarket, Elephant Wellyphant and the Big book of Crazy mix-ups

My DS is nearly 3 and his favourite books currently are the Sir Charley Stinky Socks ones. He asks for them every night!!

We have Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus but I hate reading it. There's only one or two words on each page. More fun for reading during the day maybe but too involved for bedtime. If you like them though, there are some Elephant and Piggy books that are very similar.

Elephant Wellyphant is another 2 words per page book but the pictures are beautiful and it's quite funny.

Sir Charley Stinky Socks sounds like something they would like.

They do have most of these! They have ALOT of books! lol

There are 2 Sir Charlie Stinky Socks books.

This one and this one

We love them both. Just long enough for a bedtime story and with some simple flap out pages to keep things interesting.

I love the way the "monsters" all turn out to be harmless and actually quite scared of Charlie too. Helps build confidence and ward off any night time scares.

If they like The Gruffalo, they might like Tiddler too. DS is 2 and a half and can already pre-empt the "Tiddler's late" at the end of each page
