What "big" present can I get a 2 year old boy for around £15-£20

get your bum to the sainsburys website. I have got my DS aged 2 a fisher price scooter for toddlers, very chunky with wide foot board and 2 wheels at back for about 25 quid including delivery. it's 40 quid in toys r us but sainsburys have got half price toys at the minute.

allaboutme · 05/11/2009 22:22

Toys R Us have a keyboard and stool reduced from £40 to £20
My DS just got the ELC one for his birthday and both DS's LOVE it

My DS has just turned 2 and he totally loves all his new toys particularly:

-easel from Ikea (not sure of price but less than £20 I think), it's brill and he loves to stand drawing pics and naming all the ones his daddy attempts to draw. Blackboard on one side and whiteboard on the other and you can also add a huge roll of paper to it.

-cash machine from ELC

-buggy with boy baby in it. This is his all time fave present to the point it has to go everywhere with us (argh).

-Happyland (ELC) fire station.

-toy kettle (£5 Asda), he plays with this all the time, makes us cups of tea

-wellie boots. ('boots, boots, booooooooooots!!!')

HTH

When DS was two he loved his trike, wooden train set, baby in buggy, a ball, and chunky toy cars.

Lifeinagoldfishbowl · 06/11/2009 16:19

Ooh just thought what about a road mat?

Any ideas where to buy them?

Ebay? I think ELC do a map that folds into a box too for £20 (Happyland)

bumping this.

Ds is 2.5 - it really seems like an akward age to buy for - he's too young for baby toys but not old enough for a lot of the typical boys toys

SandyChick · 08/11/2009 22:39

Im pretty sure i've seen a road mat in ikea. Not sure how much it was tho.

We've bought ds (2.4yrs) the Ikea easel for xmas. I think it was £15. Ikea also sell the rolls of paper and boxes of chalks etc. T|he chalks were £1.

Boots is good for 3 for 2. They have alot of ELC stuff.
