need a special doll for DD's first christmas

We really want to get her a lovely doll that will be able to be dressed in her 3-6 month old clothes that I wont be able to part with and will sleep in her moses basket that also want to keep
So the question is,what size of doll will we need to get and have any of you seen any nice ones????

I would have a look at Gotz dolls and Corolle. Big money though.

I'm not sure about sizing though.

I love these ones. I have 2 boys so unfortunately can't get one! They are 40cm so quite big and I like the fact that they are soft so perfect for first doll.

I second Corolle dolls. They are lovely.
