Food/drink for Christmas

Is it always a cop-out?

I am struggling to know what to get people like my SILs and various family friends. Have found a site that sells local cider brandy and sparking cider. They have some morello cherries in brandy too. How would you react to gifts like this? I could get 60% of my pressies from here I think.
