Was it a good present? Do they use it?

Thinking of getting DD (who will be almost 2) one for Christmas as she love cooking and playing in the kitchen with me. Any particular one you think is especially good?

Aaah bugger! Bought the vertbaudet one this morning (well my Mum did actually) before seeing that code. Oh well, done now!

All the little extras will make excellent stocking fillers. Thanks all!

buy it again using the code and return the other one- it will be free returns

ja9 · 06/10/2009 13:18

or just phone them with the code...

blowninonabreeze · 06/10/2009 13:23

We got DD1 this one for Christmas just before her 2nd birthday. She plays with it alot, as does DD2 who is 17 months

Does anyone have the [[]www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/70129801 Ikea one]?

It says height 58cm, but how low does it go?

babyOcho · 06/10/2009 13:29

damn www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/70129801

stealthsquiggle · 06/10/2009 13:33

this one - it's compact, it's tough, huge play value, and it's not pink (we bought one for DD last year for her 2nd birthday - a year on she and DS (almost 7) still play with it almost every day)

Bettymum · 06/10/2009 14:35

sarahken thanks for the Vertbaudet link! Just ordered. DD will be 2 in January, if she likes this one I can always get a bigger one in a year or two's time - expecting DC2 in April so no doubt we will need a bigger one .

Oh, perfect thread. Am hoping to get a kitchen type thing for the DTs for Christmas from GPs. So going to have a look through this again later.

1974 has yours arrived yet? That looks like v good value.

I bought the vertbaudet one this morning.....I ordered the utensils set and another bit to take it over £80 and got £30 pounds off (worked with sale stuff asw ell), so I paid £50 for both bits. Is that a better deal than the one sarahken posted?

I have been looking for a NOT pink one, but DD saw it in the catalogue and sits poring over the picture talking about a "Stay and Play" kitchen (she loves the home corner at the Children's centre). So pink it is!!!

Ewe · 06/10/2009 22:44

What code did you use Daisy?

Just ordered the utensil set using sarahken's 50% code. It's being delivered for £15.56.

Thanks Sarahken

LatinDAISYcal · 06/10/2009 22:47

hi Ewe... it was 4.0.4.3 and I got it from hot uk deals . It was free delivery as well!

I'm sure there are various other combos of codes that get you better deals but I'm too impatient to figure it all out!

LatinDAISYcal · 06/10/2009 22:48

sorry should say that its £20 off a £50 spend and £30 off an £80 spend.

why don't they just make the catalogue prices cheaper????

sarahken · 06/10/2009 22:55

latindaisycal, the kitchen would be £38.50 with p&p with the 50% off, but it wouldn't give you a discount on the utensils. If you signed up with an additional account to get 50% off the utensils, they would be £15.56, so probably cheaper the way you did it. I know what you mean about making it cheaper. I did about 15 orders using various codes & account in april/may and they honoured them all- even got maternity bras delivered for 70p for a 2pk . I won't pay full price for anything on there, only do orders when I have at least a £15 off a £20 spend. Waiting for about 10 parcels to come this week from them and la redoute- great for xmas

hotukdeals.com is fantastic- got all my xmas shopping last year using codes. Got kickers, hush puppies and sketchers for £2 stored away for next year for my ds, Nike air max's for £6, pram set for £1.32. My loft is bursting at the seams, if its cheap I'll find a purpose for it Here are some more vertbaudet codes:

£10 off £20 spend- 5524
£15 of £30 spend- 5529
£20 off £40 spend- 5529
Above only valid on full price merchandise

40% off 1st item and pencil coat stand for £5.99- 4683

£15 off £20 spend plus free childs CD player- 3058

£15 off £20 plus free educational cube puzzle- 4013

Plus La redoute have a code which is- 6634. This is for £15 off a £20 spend, PLUS free delivery, PLUS a free ladies trench coat. You can order vertbaudet things through a section on their website and still use this code.

All the codes work for existing customers, not sure about new customers. Although the La redoute one definately works on new accounts also as I set my husband up one so I could use it again

CaptainNonentity · 06/10/2009 23:06

£15 off a£20 spend? tell me more!

LatinDAISYcal · 06/10/2009 23:09

There is a long running Boots thread on MSE (?) I think; lots of bargains to be had there and sometimes they actually pay you to take stuff away by the time you have added your advantage points!! I can't follow it though (moves too fast) and it usually involves actually going in store.
