First year ever I have bought in advance - farm set for DS, some perfume for DD (that I had to get from America, FGS) a DVD for DH and a construction thing for DSS.

Just want to spread the cost out a bit and take advantage of deals etc.

I have bought for:

Godson
Friend's dd
Friend's ds
PIL

Aunt

DD1 - books
DD2 - sticker book

Have been a bit crunched this year, have had to buy-as-I-go as never know what DP's wage will be from one month to the next

Have planned for most, but bought

ds(2)
ITNG tomliboo soft toys

That is it so far .
I have 4 dc's too, and ds1's birthday is 4 days before Christmas so really need to get my arse into gear. Ds2 is nearly done though - some figures and books and thats it (except stockings.
Trouble is it is all the stuff i have not bought yet that is expensive!

Sunshinemambo · 01/10/2009 10:01

I've bought books for DH, DS and DD and some trinkets for DD which I'm going to put in a little bag for her.

I've chosen presents for DS (a trampoline) and DD (a pushchair and a charm for her bracelet) but haven't bought them yet.

I've bought a book for DH's niece. That's it.

KEAWYED · 01/10/2009 10:04

I've got an amazon basket filled just waiting to be paid for. I have got a DS game, a rescue pals soft toy and roller skates for dd, some cookbooks for mum and mil, and stocking fillers for dd from Hawkins Bazaar arrived today.

Buda · 01/10/2009 18:43

Have bought a top and a necklace for my Mum.
A top for my nephew.
Found a Lego City set in my stash today that will be perfect for another nephew.

Have some games in basket on Amazon for DS.

That's about it.

Chilimama · 01/10/2009 18:49

So far I have bought a bike for DD1 which was half price and have bought DS, DD1 and DD2 a book/annual each as well as a couple of little stocking fillers.

Have also bought for my mum, sister in law and sister.

Have to plan ahead as have 5 birthdays to buy for between now and Christmas.

Sandy22 · 01/10/2009 18:51

Has anyone ever bought the filled stockings for £14.99 from Hawkins Bazaar?

Lilyloo · 01/10/2009 19:31

ooh Sandy what are they ?

OP posts:
Sandy22 · 01/10/2009 20:30

They are on the hawkins bazaar website - they have one for age 8+ and one for 14+ filled with toys but doesn't say exactly what - just wondered if anyone had bought one previously and if they were worth the money.

mogs0 · 01/10/2009 21:39

This time last year I had bought 2 big sets of Playmobil for ds (plane and airport) and when I asked him a bit later on what he wanted there was no mention of Playmobil! Luckily, I sold them on ebay for what I paid for them so I didn't lose anything but it did cause a fair bit of stress!

He's having a bike for Christmas. I know which one I want to get, I'm just waiting to find one with a bit of money off!!

I've bought some collectable brooches for my sisters and Mum. I think they're fabulous but my Aunt thinks they won't like them . Oh well, if they don't like them I'll keep them for myself!!

Also, bought ds a mini toolkit and going to get my BIL to keep any bits of wood so he can do a bit of hammering Christmas afternoon. He's asked for Guitar Hero from FC which I ordered but I've been sent the wrong one so waiting for a reply to my emails.

I have also ordered lots of stocking-filler type presents to give as token gifts for my God-children and current/ex-mindees.

My plan is to make so foody presents for everyone else. The only problem is I'm horribly dis-organised and can't cook very well!!!

ThePhantomPumpkin · 02/10/2009 20:31

The Tesco half price toy sale is great.

I just got a giant peppa pig soft toy and a giant George one for DD, both down from £20 to £10. She loves her 2 mini ones, so she'll love the huge ones!

and a scooter and wooden train set for DS.

Now I just need stocking fillers and the DC are done.

milknosugarplease · 03/10/2009 00:48
