But I've decided not to be trammelled by repressive tradition this year.

I'm going to take everything down this weekend becuase my tradition (invented five minutes ago) is that I take the tree down when it's convenient for me, not when some victorian tradition-inventor decided it was the right time.

Epiphany, so yes I'd say the 5th is OK. Or the weekend before depending on whether DH can be nagged cajoled into getting the ladder and attic sorted.

6th Jan traditionally! But like LittleBella, mine will come down tomorrow because ds has a drum kit being delivered and it needs to go where the tree is!!

we have taken our decorations down already. The tree came down a couple of days ago to make room for the extra toys and the rest of the stuff was taken down today and put up the loft. We have reclaimed the house again - yippee!!
