........I have had the most wonderful xmas, my children have been utter stars and lovely and behaved beautifully when we have been out places and in restaurants, they have all appreciated everything they received, and have not behaved like spoilt brats even tho they were completely spoiled!

and DH has been fantastic and treated me like a queen, giving me lots of relaxation time.

I can honestly say that even tho this year was sad due to it being the first without greatgrandma, it has been my best ever christmas.

How lovely Psycho. I'm pleased you all had a good christmas.

I can honestly say the very same.
This time last week my 3 and I were at the panto, 2 hours away from home. We stayed in a Travelodge and ate in restaurants. We really had a hoot and they were such good fun. On the way home on Tuesday we stopped at Mum's grave and wished her a Merry Christmas.

I reckon it's christmas magic don't you?

MaureenMLove · 29/12/2008 19:59

Right, there's only one answer to this OP, since you're all here - lets celebrate! Lets open the bar!!

8:20 - that's just being smug

psychohohohoho · 29/12/2008 20:02

ah yes, I am very smug with that I have to admit.

in fact, it was DD1 who woke up, and then ran round waking the others......if she had slept like she normally does (ie, past 10am given that she is 14!), then we could have in fact an even later start.

My lot were lovely too, they were heinous the week before hand so I was pretty chuffed. In fact they were so nice I wish we'd had more time just as a family

HappyMummyOfOne · 29/12/2008 20:39

Lovely to hear the good stories instead of just the bad ones.

We had a lovely quiet christmas, DS was excited xmas eve and took him ages to go to sleep - upside was he slept in until 9.15 which was fab.

Just the three of us on xmas day, we opened presents, had lunch, opened more presents and played numerous games. Stayed up late just chilling with a dvd and chocolates and it was lovely.

A nice relaxing break

psychohohohoho · 29/12/2008 21:25

yes, I like having a nice story thread going to end off the year with

I had a lovely Christmas too, DDs were great and it was made all the sweeter as Christmas last year we thought I was mcing DD3 and there she was in amongst it all. I actually started crying when I saw the 3 stockings hanging up.

SnowMuchToBits · 29/12/2008 21:30

I also had a great time - we (me, dh and ds) went to stay with my sister and her dp. My other sister and her dh and my best friend were also there. We all had a great time, no-one fell out, and ds was excited but well-behaved.

Last year was hard as my dad (who was 88) died on 22nd December. My mum did well this year (she went round to my Aunt's) and we've been to see her today.

Good to hear some positive Christmas experiences.
