thisisyesterday · 28/12/2008 22:58

i didn't even buy anything in baby gap earlier.
got some half price stuff in monsoon for the children but that was about it

lou33 · 28/12/2008 23:01

I got dd2 some clothes in next for her birthday tomorrow, a jacket from 35 down to 15, amongst other things

In h&m i got myself a purple cord fitted jacket down to £15, and an off white fitted shirt for £7

theinsider · 28/12/2008 23:01

I got 20% off online elemis products earlier (timetospa).

pro collagen marine cream (the product I wanted) is usually £75 per 50ml ie £1.50 per ml. I got 30ml in a box set costing £40 (with discount) making £1.33 per ml, plus tons of extra goodies.

Was well pleased With free delivery, natch.

beeny · 28/12/2008 23:02

i thought next sale was good

WishItWouldSnow · 28/12/2008 23:02

I gave up in Monsoon. I know it seems really tight but everyday skirts were still way over £30 so I am going to wait another week and see what I can mop up from the mega reduced leftovers.

AnotherFineMess · 28/12/2008 23:06

Oh, I forgot the mushrooms, but they weren't in the sale

lou33 · 28/12/2008 23:11

these are not in a sale but i really want a pair

cornsilk · 28/12/2008 23:17

The insider - did you need a code for the elemis site? I was on there earlier and didn't see that offer. Lurve the marine cream.

WishItWouldSnow · 28/12/2008 23:18

Good work fine mess!

I want some bargains!!Actually I am OK as didn't go wanting to find anything in particular and kids all spent their Xmas money so they are happy and I don't have to think about it any longer.

However, it was really quiet in our town today. Perfect shopping conditions just didn't happen for me.....

A friend told me that she went to the Next sale at 4.30 yesterday morning and yes, it apparently was worth it.....

I didn't buy anything in Gap either - normally love that stuff but I was really disappointed in this latest season.

AnotherFineMess · 28/12/2008 23:20

Next sale still pretty good - got the jeans and bras from there.

theinsider · 28/12/2008 23:23

cornsilk this link should take you to the homepage with the code on. EXTRAVA I think it was, for 20% off. Then I personally went for the "Divine Beauty" (that's me ) set at usual price £50, but down to £40 with deal.

Was very, very chuffed And went and slathered on tons of my old pro collagen cream which up until ohen I'd been ekeing out

lou33 · 28/12/2008 23:24

i just kind of stumbled into next , as the first large store that would maybe have something for dd2 to wear (she needs adjustable waistbands as she is a slender willowy thing)

there was a lot of bargains knocking about still, i didnt queue for more than 2 mins either

was only when i got back and saw a thread about the next sale that i realised it was supposed to be something people wait in the freezing cold for hours, before opening just to attend

cornsilk · 28/12/2008 23:24

cheers!

WishItWouldSnow · 28/12/2008 23:27

Lou - why oh why would you do it, queue up I mean. Pure hype to control the punters. They think they are Harrods or something.

mrsmaidamess · 28/12/2008 23:42

I bought

a chocolate brown felt trilby style hat, very jaunty £9 M&S

orange soft leather gloves £9, same shop

teal silk polka dot long scarf also £9, also m&S

I had seen all 3 things before Christmas and covetted them

lou33 · 28/12/2008 23:46

i wouldnt queue at that time of the morning for any sale tbh

i think i have shopped in next maybe twice in over 5 yrs

nappyaddict · 29/12/2008 00:02

quite a bit but mostly presents for throughout the year.

CharleeInPantoPaperChains · 29/12/2008 08:17

Our local LUSH shop does the most amazing deal each year, on Boxingday and as longs as things last, if you spent £20 you get ANYTHING FREE so i spent £40 and got a £80 gidt box free and a £50 free as well. i have 3 huge hat boxes full of LUSH!

People were queing for hours before the store opened, i think they should restrich how much you can get though as one bloke came in after me and picked up the last 7 huge hat boxes (£80) and then just brought £140 of stuff for his wife and got the 7 boxes free to give to his daughters. There were alot of people wanting them to.

Sparkletastic · 29/12/2008 08:27

got a lovely dress in Wallis from £55 to £15 - posh maxi stylee. Also got a new winter coat from there with 20% off (needed coat desperately so any reduction was welcome) and a £15 from £30 winter shawl. Also got jeans for £25 (half price) from Fat Face and loads of half price gifts from Boots to stock up the pressie cupboard.

lou33 · 29/12/2008 19:53

well dd2 just bought bagfuls of goodies in the sales with her birthday money, she is becoming a bargain hunter like her mum
