DD (3.2) woke at 5am and I told her Father Christmas hadn't been yet and she needed to go back to sleep or he wouldn't come. She went back to sleep and finally woke at 8:15am which was a big lie in for us

AaliyahsFirstXmas · 26/12/2008 22:09

DD (11 months) got woken up by me at 6am!! I couldn't wait any longer!! lol I had personally been awake since 4am coughing.

DS1 7.01 according to our clock - but I didn't know that DH had changed the clock by 20 minutes so it was 7.20am - he then went round the house making sure we were all up and down stairs for opening stockings and eating croissant.

We got 4 yr old DS to nap over T time on xmas eve, we were then able to wake up at 9:30,got out of bed 9:45 when DS had opened his stocking

stillenacht · 26/12/2008 22:26

DS1 got up at 6 on the dot - i heard him and so i prodded DH to get up as i was excited (WTF!) and we went downstairs to do the pressies

DS2 (who has autism) got up at 7 and opened one pressie and walked off into other room -not interested at all.He was happy enough tho so it was good.

DD got up at 7:30, had a shower then bought us a cup of tea in bed

MrsGokWan · 26/12/2008 22:50

Usually DC2+3 are awake at 6.00 but Christmas morning I had to go and wake them at 7.30 other wise we wouldn't of had enough time to get things done in time.

They sat on the bed and opened their stockings and we opened our presents. Then we went down stairs and had breakfast and opened a couple of presents. Then it was showered and changed for church and then to MIL's for Christmas day festivities.

Boxing day we were thinking 'woohoo we'll get a lie in .' Did we hell back to 6.00 again

thatsnotmymonster · 26/12/2008 22:53

We did really well. Our 3.10y, 2.5y and 8mth who all share a room woke up at 7.45am!

EachPeachPearMum · 26/12/2008 22:54

hey Psycho- exact same time 8:20!
Today was roughly same, though she came and snuggled in our bed until 9:15, when her tummy was rumbling too much to stay any longer

rolereversal · 26/12/2008 23:06

told them 6.30 and they came in to us at 6.28 so let them off. they are 12, 9 and 5 and we dont do father christmas in this house, but it doesnt stop them being very excited on christmas morning!!!

PavlovtheRedNosedReindeer · 26/12/2008 23:08

seringoutthosebellstonight · 26/12/2008 23:21

11yr old woke us up at 2.10am and said is it time to get up yet!!!

She returned at 6.30am with reinforcements (in the shape of her 6 and 8 yr old DB's) and we all hepled to drag poor DH out of bed!

thean · 27/12/2008 21:20

We had to wake our 7 and 4 yr olds up at 7.30 as had to be at mil for 9 and wanted them to open stockings and presents from us. Never been woken up early but we do all party til quite late on Christmas eve while tracking Santa. Thay have to go to bed when he gets to France.

ThomcatIsForLifeNotJustForXmas · 27/12/2008 21:25

We wanted to take them to Mass at 8.30am so went in to them at 7 and they did stockings when they got back.

Boxing Day we didn't get up till 9am. DD1 & DD2 were up but stayed playing, quietly , in their room and didn't hear a peep from DD3 till 9!
