Weird isn't it. I thought they'd be asleep pretty quickly tonight. They're not tiny kids either, they're both nearly 8!

my boys were up at 8.30am, girls were up at 9.30am. ds1 is just going to bed, he has been good all day and i let him stay up late (he is nearly 10). dd1 (3.9) is still awake and had been in bed since 7.30pm stropping. she is now quiet but still bloody awake.

dd went to sleep about 9 having been up at 3.30, though we did briefly persuade her back to sleep. ds has stayed at grandparents with his cousins so god knows what's going on there. .

SparklyGothKat · 25/12/2008 21:52

I thought that only my kids could have been at at 3:30am! Did something happen across the UK at 3:30am??!! lol... AND now my neighbours are blasting music Don't they know that some people are tired here??!!

hoxtonchick · 25/12/2008 22:33

i was pretty unimpressed sgk.... and we just got her back to sleep when ds bounced in arrrgh. he made me laugh though, he'd opened his stocking in bed, then carefully repacked it & brought it in to us to open again. cunning.

I heard little footsteps around 1AM on Christmas Eve, and 5 minutes later a careful descent down the stairs. I persuaded her back to bed. She appeared in my bedroom at 4.30 asking if we could start opening stockings. I told her we weren't doing anything until daybreak. She woke again at 6.30, and I decided it was time to get up. She was simply too excited to sleep through.

Been a lovely day, but we're both shattered.
