I can HEAR them being oh so quiet upstairs. Have threatened them with instant death if they make a noise.

why cant they be like other children? just once ffs.

must sleep or will drop dead.

I remember waking up soon after the stocking had been put on my bed (light sleeper so the door always disturbed me slightly). I'd then wake up, open the stocking, and then wake up at a more reasonable hour of the day with the contents of the stocking scattered around my bed

Nighbynight · 25/12/2008 02:15

it would be something if they slept late

Hope you get some sleep, nightbynight! I suppose this is the advantage of DS being at his Dad's tonight.

I am sure you will look back on this very fondly one day. Probably not tomorrow, but one day

TWINSETinapeartree · 25/12/2008 02:47

lol I have only just finished my prep for tomorrow so just this second put it at the end of her bed

RubberDuck · 25/12/2008 08:30

Sorry was 1am here. I win.

Do I get a prize of free matchsticks to keep my eyes open?

swanriver · 25/12/2008 09:01

Heard noises at 1.30. DS2 is singing the lyrics to mammamia cd in stocking, luckily hasn't yet got the CDplayer. DS1 has eaten sweetie and is choking...Anyway after firm handling, they've left further investigation till morning, and all went back to sleep till 7.30.

LedodgyChristmasjumper · 25/12/2008 09:15

Oh dear I don't suppose this is the time to tell you that we had to wake ours up at 8am!

Nighbynight · 25/12/2008 10:39

Hurrah! They went back to sleep and slept til 8 am

yes, RubberDuck, you definitely qualify for the matchsticks!

TigerFeet · 25/12/2008 11:08

DD didn't wake up until 6.30 (yay!)

Having not gone to bloody sleep until gone 1am

Ducky if I'd known you were awake at that ungodly hour I'd have sent tea and vodka sympathy on my way to bed

lou33 · 25/12/2008 11:31

mine woke up just after 8am, which was a nice time

brightwell · 25/12/2008 12:28

One of the women I work with said her son got up at 1 am this morning, very excited beacause Father christmas had been. She managed to fob him off & send him back to bed.

TLESinChristmasStockings · 25/12/2008 12:37

DS1 was up at 12.45 and opened 1 pressie then came bounding into me to tell me F.C had been that was at 8.15....

pantomimEDAMe · 25/12/2008 12:54

I woke up before ds. 7.45 which I suppose is OK, just irritating as I could have stayed in bed!

MrsWeasleyStrokesSantasSack · 25/12/2008 13:15

my DCs (aged 13,11,9 &8) didnt wake up until 9am
