What shall I do? She's going to be so upset (she is 5yrs) when it's not in her stocking "I've seen santa a few times and I've told him I want x every time..." ARGH! HELP!

Remind her that Santa isn't the only person who has asked her what she would like for Christmas

put a letter in
"i know i haven't brought everything you've asked for, but don't forget mummy and daddy and grandma are giving you some presents as well"

LilRedWG · 24/12/2008 19:46

Tell her that Santa had already wrapped her gifts so wrote and asked Grandma to get the special gift. A fake letter addressed to Grandma would seal the deal.

I have told her that FC doesn't bring all her presents but she's convinced herself he is bringing this one present. GAH! I think a letter might be the way forward, thanks!

My Niece wanted a new bed for Xmas and it had to be assembled by the bloke that made it (bloody ikea beds being too tall for her room) so we did a note from santa and rudolph saying that it wouldn't fit on the sleigh so had to be delivered early - but not to tell the other kids about it.

She's absolutely over the moon about the bed and is completely convinced by the note (she's nearly 6) and read it all herself. I got shown it but was told not to tell my husband (only my 11mo son!)
