I saw it on tv the other day. I remember that you fried the bacon and chestnuts and sprouts, but I don;t remember any herbs she used or what order or anything else. Any tips please!

I don't know the Nigella one but I just literally fry the bacon, then warm through the chestnuts and sprouts (boil the sprouts first of course)

Did Nige use herbs?

Her recipe is:
1kg brussels
250g pancetta cut into 1cm cubes
30g butter
250g chestnuts
60ml marsala
large bunch parsley

Cook brussels until retaining a bit of bite (c 5 mins)

Meanwhile in a large pan cook pancetta until crisp, add butter and chestnuts, pressing on chestnuts to break up a little.
When warmed thru turn heat up and throw in Marsala until a 'glorious syrup' is formed.

Add sprouts, turn well, sprinkle in half of parsley, season (you shouldn't need salt apparently). Decant to warm dish and sprinkle with the rest of parsley.

Thanks everyone.

Marsala? I really don't remember her adding that. I have some fresh sage - do you think that would go nicely with it?
