blimey would look at a n independent shop. Asda had sold out by us on dd1s birthday[16th] as ours broke

don't have either but will have to go out again early i suppose argh

or Garden Centres, they usually have loads

if you're in a small town, electrical goods independent shop still have them sometimes.

Everywgere sold out last year by mid December. Ours broke and I couldn't buy any. A pal offered us her old set.

I'd phone a couple of places otherwise you'll be schlepping around for hours

Oh, look at that, 2 people had lights they were willing to part with for a fellow MNer! So, it would seem, MN is the place to get lights! I wonder if the same would work, if I asked for a turkey this time tomorrow night!
