My parents have just re-started this tradition with all the grandchildren and are taking them on 29 Dec to see ALADDIN.

We took DS for the first time last year when he was 4. Going again this year so it's becoming a tradition! Off to see John Barrowman in Robin Hood on Tuesday.

We go on Christmas Eve to the matinee then out to dinner. Tend to do panto for a couple of years then the ballet...seeing The Nutcracker this year then to a local Italian restaurant.

The children go every year with the school, but I really like the idea of taking them, if its a different panto would it matter that they went twice? Is it less special to go twice?

not at all foggy. A couple of years ago we went to alladin on boxing day, and had such a good time we went to seee jack and the beanstalk at another theatre. They will love it.

We always go the weekend before christmas with my DH's family (13 of us) at the Cliffs Pavilion in Westcliff near Southend and have been for the last ten years. We subscribe to priority booking so always get seats near or at the front.

Went yesterday to Aladdin with the Chuckle brothers. Was really good fun (although if you have seen the Chuckle bros before you won't see anything original!)

They had 3D effects for the scene with the genie which was really good.
