what age group and what gender??
£ shops worth a try, also Quality Save if you have one.

schneebly · 21/12/2008 14:48

thanks - boys 5 and almost 4! We have a poundshop but no quality save - is it like Wilko?

PuppyDrunky · 21/12/2008 14:53

I was gonna say Wilkos!

lilolilbethlehem · 21/12/2008 14:56

Quality Save is a bit like wilko, but good stuff at knock down prices. Someone told me they had bought out B&M bargains - very similar if you have one of those nearby. Pound shops def worth a look - there is some good stuff in amongst the tat,e.g. cars/cards/dominos/stickers/socks/hats/gloves etc.
Also look round your supermarket - things like cake mixes (e.g. Tom and Jerry/Scoobie Doo/ Chrismas kits) are reasonable. Also mini boxes of coco pops etc

Pound shops. Don't know where you are, but I'm in London and my local pound shops have loads of great arty, crafty stuff.

lilolilbethlehem · 21/12/2008 15:07

where do you live schneebly (if you don't mind saying - or give a rough indication) We can then point out local places you might not know about

schneebly · 21/12/2008 15:46

schneebly · 21/12/2008 17:25

sorry scneebly, was otherwise occupied. You are probably right in that it is too late for delivery now, but the website is here for future reference:

Yellow Moon

I got some good stocking filler type stuff from Asda the other day.

Cocobear · 21/12/2008 21:22

I always get them magazines - whatever looks fun - as they take up loads of space in the stocking! Roll them up and tie with ribbon. One In the Night Garden and one Nat'l Geog Kids this year.
