Should i,

A. Rewrap in different paper (bearing in mind ive done 2 huge piles in this paper shes found)?

B. Blag it ("bugger me, santa has the same wrapping paper as me")

She found it under the sofa, which is NOT where i keep all my wrapping stuff. I came out with, "oh, thats last years, i have been looking for that!"

My DD did did that then said "Is this the paper you get for FC to use?" Pheww I thought!
Why not try that line on her? I've left the paper next to the fire place now.

Saturn74 · 21/12/2008 13:18

We say that we buy the presents and wrap them, then send them to FC to deliver.

JustKeepSingingCarols · 21/12/2008 13:20

B - FC has to buy his paper somewhere, why not the same place as you?

MaryMotherOfCheeses · 21/12/2008 13:20

I'd go for coincidence. Don't own up. You can still go along with the magic aged 8. She's probably starting to twig anyway. But you need to just go along with it.

ByTheSea · 21/12/2008 13:21

I say I help Santa out by wrapping the presents.

PuppyDrunky · 21/12/2008 13:21

She probably twigged years ago and is only going alone with it for your sake - that's what my dd told me.

We had this 3 years ago when my then 7 and 5 year old boys found the paper on christmas eve. We sat up until 11.30 re-wrapping everything, they would have seen through anything else. I'm glad we did it but I am now absolutly obsessed about different paper and keeping it well hidden, the leftover paper even gets burnt!!!

MaryMotherOfCheeses · 21/12/2008 13:23

NOOOO! the whole point of FC is that he comes down the chimney. There is magic involved. You cannot help out by buying presents for him, surely?

DesperateHousewifeToo · 21/12/2008 13:24

Put it away now. Don't mention it unless she says something. Hopefully, in the chaos on xmas day, she won't really notice.

If she does comment on it on christmas day, then laugh about if and say he must have bought it at the same shop as you ''how funny''.

Dominique07 · 21/12/2008 13:24

I didn't fully stop believing until a mean friend told me when I was 11.
Kids love to pretend to be more mature than they are, but all the time they love the magic.
Of course FC bought the same wrapping paper, it's very pretty, Christmassy paper.

hairymcclary · 21/12/2008 14:19

Im gonna go with blagging it. I have now put the paper away and i think it will be chaos on the day, im pretty sure she wont notice. If she does ill just be amazed that he used the same paper.
I think she does believe, but doubts it at the same time, if you know what i mean. Like some of you have said, she will be starting to doubt even more if she doesnt already. So if she does notice, then well it doesnt really matter.

Thanks for your replies, a massive help!
