white labels on the DS's presents?

I cut out homemade tags from each years Christmas cards when they come down. But they didn't get done last year (or if they did I have NO idea where they are now).

I'm about to wrap the DS's presents, and have no tags. I do however have small white labels..........it wouldn't be so terrible to stick those on would it?????

Not terrible at all! I usually just scribble on the paper with a felt-tip

Just been reading your thiings to get done thread - you are doing well! (But you must be knackered)

phew - thanks Wallace - means I can get the DS's presents and wrapped as soon as I've had some coffee, toast and a fag

Little white stickers (on dark paper) or pen (on pale paper) for me too.

Old Christmas cards have always run out after too many Christmas theme sticking sessions.

I only write the names because everythings supposed to be from FC and I would feel silly writing 'To DC from FC' on gift tags.

I'm using white labels too with a funky pen to write with , job done!

escape · 21/12/2008 08:03

use different wrapping paer per child - negates all taggage in this house!

MincePirateCat · 21/12/2008 08:09

faq, i want a fag, but i have a viral (not flu) cold thing, and havent had one for 4 days.

happy label sticking!! I'm just waitng for my dd to go over her dad's today, i have been stuck indoors with her since tuesday. me, her and the non flu.!!

goldFAQinsenceandmyrrh · 21/12/2008 08:16

escape - I would but I have 3 children and 3 different coloured wrapping papers.........sounds easy yes?

Actually no - as 2 of the presents are joint presents for DS1 and 2 to share - and as 10 out of the 12 presents i've just wrapped are box shapes I'm not sure I'd remember which ones were the shared ones

Not to mention that DS1 likes to be chief distributor - sat next to the tree handing out the presents LOL.

Anyhow, all done now

Of course not!! Am that you would even thin, it might be awful.

Children don't really appreciate these things anyway.

bollockbrainASSofBETHLEHEM · 21/12/2008 09:06

its absolutely fine, some years i have just scribble straight on the wrappiung paper, no label.

nappyaddict · 21/12/2008 12:38

I don't do tags on the FC presents. It all goes in his pillowcase so he knows which ones are his.

DesperateHousewifeToo · 21/12/2008 13:34

I see you have already done them.

Was going to suggest cutting out a picture from the actual wrapping paper as the tag.

I did this with some of mine (just wrote straight onto the dc's paper tho) that were being given to other people. Christmas trees for the boys, christmas fairies for the girls.
