I have too much to do before going on Tuesday - can you check my list for me and tell me what I am missing???

if you are going away, why clean your house?

You are missing:

Buy batteries - probably.
Clean out bile ducts ready to see the inlaws
Drink a lot

Clean my house because some bloke is coming to do an energy thing on Monday and will need to be able to walk into our bedroom without breaking his neck

Drinking lots can happen after everything else is done . I have planned a night out on Monday night Dunno who is driving to Wales though, so it may be a sober night out, , but out nonetheless

if you are going to be away for xmas then all you need to do it declutter (that means making tidy piles instead of fallen over ones unless you have LOADS of time)

only wash what you will need or what you would wash anyway

Going to Psycho's tonight to sort some DS games with/for her. Will have a look at the presents when I get back (but prob not start wrapping).

Twilight is a film I am seeing tomorrow night

Yule - going to stay in a travel lodge sat night, doing stonehenge sunday sunrise, then doing santa (hopefully).

Mum was talking about having the cat at her house, but she has her mum down and I want to make life as easy as possible for her - we have a food tray thing that you put on a timer, but I need to play with it and learn how it works.

Going to add stuff to list and divide into day and night jobs (ie with/without kids)

I think I might leave DH on Saturday night with some presents to wrap, and do the rest on Sunday night??? No, he is out on Saturday night prob - he can do some on Friday whilst I'm out.

Xmas has sneaked up on me

Oh and Wales - NO RAIN. I am holding out hopes of snow, it is all that is pulling me through!

We're off on Sunday.

My list goes like this:

Go to DS's assembly
Collate all tax info and send to accountant
Finish off cards
Do 5-6 e-cards for people too far away, including long letter to friend I haven't contacted all year and didn't thank properly for something she did
Wrap all presents
Conceal all FC presents
camouflage other presents for DCs
Check whether any more needed for forgotten family members
Fling random selection of clothes into bags (wash clothes? HA!)
clean out gerbil cage
print out directions to people we are visiting
send out DS's party invitations for first week back at school
think what else I need to take eg wellie boots

We're getting OUT all the presents tonight to work out what we have (thinking that the no money thing makes wrapping faster ). DH has said that when I get back from Psycho (going in a min), we'll sit and watch chuck/heroes and wrap together

good point about presents to buy tomorrow.
i did get them all out earlier this week, then got sidetracked and put them all away again. There seem to be quite a lot, so hopefully everyone is covered. I have a List somewhere but most of it is ideas with question marks on.

Oh arse - we have no suitcase We normally borrow from mum but forgot to ask and too late to hassle her to go in the loft again now

Just tidy a bit so the bloke doesn't break his neck but don't bother to clean. Just washwhat you need to take

put clothes in bin bags or plastic crates if you have them, then use them to pack presents you bring back.

Went away over night - DH has tidied (thrown toys to vaguely neater places) the kid's room and hoovered it

He has cleared a pile of stuff from our floor too

loads to do still but am so p'd of with DH and DCs, am on strike today and just doing whatever I please. Sod the rest of them, if we're not ready for Christmas, that's their look out. Don't see anyone queuing up to see what they can do to help...
