First time cookker of crown turkey - or any turkey for that matter!

I am from South Africa originally so Christmasses were usually a barbeque around the swimming pool!

This year I am doing a crown turkey because there is only me, DH and 4 year old DS. Anything I should be careful of? Do I need to cook the crown similarly to the way a whole turkey is cooked ie long and slow with lots of basting!!!

i'd just treat it the same. bung loads of butter under the skin, put streaky bacon on top and wrap it in foil.
