I thought it was just a passing phase, but too late I've realised that its all she really wants for Christmas. Her reception teacher came up to me and said, "ooh I hope you've got the bear M keeps talking about.."

er no?

arse. Can't find it anywhere. Do you think she'll mind? And to complicate things ds would also like one, so I need to find two, not just one..

i have exactly the same problem....can get the wand one but its the clap one she wants! its on e-bay but they are charging nearly double what its worth! Why am I so unorganised!

Umlellala · 17/12/2008 10:29

Lots on ebay - but pricey

What about something similar or this ? I'd start prepping her now though that FC can't always get things you want and talk lots about other things she'd like...

mum2taylor · 17/12/2008 10:36

e-bay are charging near on £40 for one, when they retailed at £14.99

moodlumhohohoodlum · 17/12/2008 10:38

They have got lots of other presents, and DH's view is that she will forget about it when it comes to opening the others, but I still feel bad. I should have learnt from last years Chou Chou mummy make me better debacle..

Damned milkshake advertising...

Is this any good?
Any here?

Umlellala · 17/12/2008 10:43

The list to FC is a suggestions list IMO, not a list of demands. FC sees what he can do. I never got Mr Frosty, Sweetshop thing, er... Girls World head, I could go on - but I was v v v happy every Christmas. And doubly excited when I did get something I'd asked for (the year of the second-hand Gameboy was v exciting - and completely unexpected).

queenrollo · 17/12/2008 11:06

i didn't get a Mr Frosty until i was 28 even though i put it in my letter to Santa every year.

CharleeInPantoPaperChains · 17/12/2008 11:07

I never got a Mr Frosty or a Swizzle Sweet shop with real sweets

moodlumhohohoodlum · 17/12/2008 11:08

I've found them! For £20!

here

DH is disapproving of the fact I've given in to pester power but whatever.. I'll hold back other stuff until their birthdays I think.

how about www.character-online.com/products/gr8plush/gloE/Gloe-clap-and-Glo/?trurl=awco

moodlumhohohoodlum · 17/12/2008 11:09

This is of course to make up for the fact I never ever got the tiny tears cot or a large care bear.

I saw one last week in our local woolworths and in entertainer.

elkiedee · 17/12/2008 11:18

queenrollo, was Mr Frosty eventually from Santa? (visions of a 27 year old writing to Santa again...)
