All want for Christmas with you - Mariah Carey - am not usually a Mariah fan but I love this song - makes me happy.

dalek · 16/12/2008 22:05

All I want for Christmas is you - obviously!

HappyChristmasYourArse · 16/12/2008 22:10

aside from fairytale?

slightly cheesy but i'm quite fond of 2000 miles by the Pretenders. Except for the line where she sings "it's very far". Could have come up with a better lyric there Chrissie surely!

Jbck · 16/12/2008 22:18

Greg Lake - I believed in Father Christmas

Salleroo · 16/12/2008 22:57

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas - Bing Crosby

And Mariah's All I want for Christmas aswell.

I love them all though. Have started putting on my Christmas CDs when the radio is not giving me enough.

Since it's become my son's favourite this year, "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree" because it really makes him strut his stuff and makes me smile.

I'm with cornsilk Definately Fairytale of New York. Love the irony of it and the truth in it apply to sooo many families at xmas

mytetherisending · 18/12/2008 15:16

Dear Father Christmas what have you got for me.
Take your sack from off your back
and let me look and see.......... for Children

GrimmaTheNome · 18/12/2008 15:19

I really liked the Smith&Jones 'rocking around the christmas tree'.

Also 'When Santa got stuck up the chimney'

New accidental fave. DD, although 9, still likes a bedtime song. I dredged the Rocking Carol from the depths of my memory. The one
with the refrain 'We will rock you, rock you, ro-ock you (repeat)....see the fur to keep you warm, snugly round your tiny form'. Didn't work as a lullaby; DD sits up and starts to belt out 'We will, we will ROCK YOU, ROCK YOU'....

kaliope · 18/12/2008 18:18

War is over - John Lennon

Have yourself a merry little christmas - Judy Garland
