REALLY struggling with a present for my mum - any ideas?

My mum is lovely, lives a very active life (although retired). She looks after my dad who has early-stage dementia and also looks after my DD two days a week. I want to get her something lovely but I am totally stumped.

Any ideas?!

What does she like to do?

What's your budget?

Sounds like a bit of time to herself wouldn't go amiss. Would she be into a spa treatment? Theatre tickets/vouchers? Voucher for a nice dinner out with you or a friend?

up to £100 - as I said, she does a great deal for us. I'd love to take her away for the weekend somewhere but Dad refuses to be "looked after" by anyone else, or stay with any other family member. She's a member of a choir, but other than that all her time is made up caring for Dad or her grandchildren.

Maybe I could get her away for a day somewhere.... a really nice spa or something (and then I can go too.... )

Spa day and one of these (though it's really a present for your DC )

Earrings?

Watch?

Luxury Hamper?

Molton Brown gift set and a facial somewhere?

Theatre tickets are also a v.good idea.

Last Christmas I bought my mum a cashmere jumper; she loves soft fabrics but would never spend that kind of money on herself (I didn't get that gene ) She adores it, and this year I've got her another one in a different colour.
