beads/bracelet for a toddler

I saw my little one looking very jealously at another little ones bracelet and necklace set. It wasn't wooden, it was plastic with the odd one or two shiny/special beads in it. I have looked around the shops but can't see anything similar (mum can't remember where it came from).

I would like to get these for my mum to add to her present as she feels she got the rubbish end of her christmas list Pls help me make 2 people really happy

I know I could make one, but then I think my mum would feel it was less from her IYSWIM?

Do you have a shelter charity shop near you?

I got my little sisters lovely ones from there little wooden beads with the odd little wooden duck/cat/rabbit they are cute and only £1.89 and the bracelet matches and is only 89p.

HTH.

AAh just realised you said not wooden sorry

Claire's Accessories. I picked up a couple of kiddie beaded necklaces there yesterday and one came with a bracelett. Grand total - £3.75 for a bracelet, a necklace and 3 plastic bangles.

supermarkets usually have kits to make your own - is that what you mean?

FeelingLucky · 16/12/2008 13:32

I saw some in H&M, also Claire's Accessories and Boots

Theochris · 16/12/2008 13:35

Wooden would be OK if it was pretty, but we don't have a shelter charity shop near us I'm afraid. Thanks for replying though.

I will try to get to a Claire's accessories, thanks. TBH I think it's all a bit depressing that she so clearly was impressed by them at such a young age. But it's not my choice and I know it will make Granny and her very happy, which should give me a warm christmassy glow!

Oh, I think it's sweet. They love that it's pretty and the bright colours. I don't think it's all about sparkly diamonds or whatever.

I got a "gold" jewellery box from my father when I was about 5 and I absolutely loved it. It felt so gorgeous and decadent.

I have a little boy so may be totally wrong but I love the heart bracelet

Theochris · 16/12/2008 13:44

Thanks timmette I could even get those without leaving my desk They look perfect, just like what this other little girl had.

Thank you all so much for your help, I think I need some encouragement into the world of girls stuff!

I'm just so surprised, not being much of a girly girl myself. And of course we all know that they should just be a little mini me
