I have covered tree with red baubles, little angels, FCs, sweets etc- very childlike theme. Tree is the one with the soft pines- (have 3 year old) and the branches at the top are a bit spaced apart and I was wondering if anyone has any ideas of how I could make it look more full without being overcrowded.

tinsel.
loads and loads of tinsel

As mmj says, tinsel...just make sure you push it to the centre of the tree rather than having it on the outer edge of the branches in order to avoid the overcrowded look.

DS (2) helped decorate our tree last night, and I LOVE the way he's put three baubles on one branch .

Mummy had a bit of a sappy melted heart moment

Tinsel or make a few gingerbread men .

Mine looked bare and we made some bags of reindeer food and hung them on looks ok now .

does it have lights?

staryeyed · 15/12/2008 11:17

Yes it does have lights but I dont keep them switched on.

Thanks for the suggestions but Im not too keen on tinsel. Do you think lots of bows would work instead?

How about strings of popcorn or candy canes?

nappyaddict · 15/12/2008 11:21

Or how about red and green paperchains?

My friend puts strings of cranberries on hers.

Will send my dc round straight away.

In no time at all it will be strewn heavily with every conceivable type of tinsel, but none of it above 3ft

staryeyed · 15/12/2008 11:23

I have candy canes already- real flavoured ones not pepermint [drools].

String of cranberry sounds interesting how does that work?
