Is Batman Lego hard to get or something?

It was suggested as a possible idea to give a child I need to get a present for. There are not a lot of toy shops near me and when I checked on Amazon & Ebay I was astounded at the prices....

Yes it is really difficult to get hold of and if you check the Lego site itself most of it is sold out or with limited availability. We've given up on it for Christmas and are going for Stars Wars instead.
