Good coffee, croissant and apricot jam. DH may be eating kippers (if he insists)

Saggarmakersbottomknocker · 14/12/2008 17:41

dh is working - the kids won't get up before 10 so I'll have a cup of tea with whisky in it and maybe an egg on toast.

Then it'll be chocolate and more chocolate

OhYouMerryMerryKitten · 14/12/2008 18:02

smoked salmon and scrambled egg (after much negotiation) I might do them on english muffins.

OhYouMerryMerryKitten · 14/12/2008 18:04

I like the idea of bucks fizz. dh not sure and as theres only two adults to drink it, it wouldnt be much fun for dd if we are fast asleep by 11am!

cupoftea - £7 for lucky charms thats extortionate.

pagwatch · 14/12/2008 18:05

smoked salmon and cream cheese bagels with champagne

We have had that every xmas since we were married 19 years ago

LedodgyChristmasjumper · 14/12/2008 18:05

chocolate.

PenelopePitstops · 14/12/2008 18:06

scrambled egg with salmon and bucks fizz but we dont eat until after church

chocholate before!

BestLaidPlans · 15/12/2008 09:19

French toast, but made with panettone, with an orange creme fraiche sauce thingy. Bucks fizz / nice orange juice depending on appearance or not of AF!

musttryharder · 15/12/2008 09:43

Fresh crusty bread and pate for me, DS has requested cocoa pops, DD would like porridge and strawberries, DH will probably have his quality street nosebag on.

BexieID · 15/12/2008 10:54

I was planning on making a huge omelette with peppers, bacon, cheese, mushrooms etc in. DP can't have egg so may suggest pancakes and syrup, which he loves, but also contains egg, lol. Tom will have his usual weetabix/oatabix with banana.

wideratthehips · 15/12/2008 12:25

smoked salmon and cream cheese bagels,

grilled carluccios chocolate panettone

fresh coffee

children can have whatever they like

gagamama · 15/12/2008 12:37

I'll probably be making Christmassy smoothies (no actual recipe for this, I'll just bung whatever I have in a blender and add some cinamon or nutmeg!) and maybe add a splash of booze if I'm feeling up to it.

I have a huge appetite (and LOVE smoked salmon and fry-ups) but I wince at eating a big breakfast on Christmas morning! I go to bed stuffed senseless as it is.

heather1980 · 15/12/2008 13:09

bacon butties and coffee. dd will prob eat nothing as she is on hunger strike and ds will have some breastmilk

Jenbot · 15/12/2008 14:20

Smoked salmon & scrambled eggs on toast. Plus chocolates.
No alcohol until Xmas dinner.

migolapland · 15/12/2008 14:50

will be at my parents' & my mum always makes a fry up with liver sausage, then bread rolls with lime marmelade and a pot of milky coffee (we get a cup AND a saucer!). we don't tend to have a drink until we have our lunch which is around 3pm

islandofsodor · 15/12/2008 15:00

Chocolate?

Will prbably be cereal eventually.

bellaBuonNatalevita · 15/12/2008 15:16

Toast or spiced fruit muffins or pan au chocolat.

We will have a bucks fizz around 10 ish.

Isaw3SMALLSHIPSgosailingby · 15/12/2008 18:49

Scrambled egg on bagels with a pot of coffee for me, DH and inlaws.

Eggy bread for the DC.

No booze for breakfast... gag.

PeachyBidsYouNadoligLlawen · 15/12/2008 18:52

bellini adults, smoothies kids
croissants all

proper coffee for me (only caffeine addict in the house)

mashedbanana · 15/12/2008 20:56

dh will probably have bacon sandwich
i'll have pork pie & toast
dd cereals and fruit toast
freshly squeezed orange juice
11.00 dd & dh fresh milkshake
me irish coffee

KnickKnackNaNollaig · 15/12/2008 20:59

chocolate in bed while opening stockings, then more choc toast/toasted muffins after opening Santa presents

ingles2 · 15/12/2008 21:06

smoked salmon bagels, or french toast.
well that's late breakfast, first breakfast will be chocolate and marzipan fruit at 6 am probably
I'll have a bucks fizz at about 12 or I'll never make it through the day.

bevlongy · 15/12/2008 21:33

normally we have pain au chocolat or choccy chip brioche warmed in the oven, & a cup of tea. Then a glass of bucks fizz after a couple of hours, just so it doesn't seem TOO early (but probably still before 10 am!) lol

Jux · 15/12/2008 21:46

Scrambled egg and smoked salmon.

We have it quite late and it's very filling. DH has suggested that we don't do Xmas lunch on the day itself (so I can relax - what a sweetie) but have lots of cold stuff and nibbles, devils on horseback (which he'll make!) and indiv Xmas puddings.

We'll have Xmas lunch on Boxing Day.

Lizzylou · 15/12/2008 21:47

Panettone and champagne

Not for the DS's though.

My Mom is coming and that is a tradition she wants to continue.

It helps me get through the day!
