Mantlepiece garland...anyone made one?

Fancy having a go, with evergreens and pine cones, but how quickly do they dry out in a centrally heated house? Wanna make it this weekend but don't want a dead looking effort on display by Christmas!

You'll be lucky if they last a week in a centrally heated house - but you could of course go round spraying twice a day with water and eek it out for about 10 days.

Thanks, still wondering whether to do it tomoro or not?!! But I know I won't get round to spraying...maybe I should wait... arghh!
